Willow Innovations, Inc. (Willow), the company that pioneered the wearable breast pump, today announced the acquisitions of Swehl, a maternal wellness and breastfeeding platform, and Momtech, the company behind mõmi’s patented feeding technology, and debuted Willow World, its new hub for breastfeeding education and community. Together, the moves accelerate the company’s expansion into a broader maternal health platform.
The moves build on Willow’s 2025 acquisition of Elvie and mark a significant evolution for the company. Building on a decade of category leadership in breast pumping, Willow is bringing together products, technology, education and community to serve women across more of the postpartum journey – with Carolin Archibald at the helm as the company enters its next phase of growth.
“Joining Willow feels like coming home to the work that first made me passionate about healthcare,” said Carolin Archibald, CEO of Willow. “I’ve spent much of my career at the intersection of technology and consumer health, and I also know personally how overwhelming the transition into motherhood can be – and how often women are left to piece together the products, information and support they need on their own. Willow has always stood out to me because it was the brand who first innovated and introduced wearable breastpumps to better meet mother’s needs. We’re now at a pivotal moment of expanding our offerings to meet mother’s needs across more of their maternal health journey.”
Willow had rapidly expanded its reach and capabilities over the past 18 months across maternal health:
- Elvie: Through its 2025 acquisition of the UK-based women’s health company, Willow expanded its global footprint and added leading product and technology expertise across breastfeeding and pelvic floor health.
- Swehl: With this acquisition of the community-first breastfeeding company founded by Betsy Riley and Elizabeth Myer, Willow is adding education and community to its growing platform. Swehl’s programming will anchor Willow World: Hot Moms Walks and its library of more than 80 breastfeeding education videos, alongside its long-standing Mom Coach program connecting parents with credentialed lactation experts.
- Momtech: Willow also acquired Momtech, the company behind mõmi’s patented feeding technology, designed to more closely replicate the mechanics of breastfeeding and help babies transition between breast and bottle.
- Lactamo: Willow partnered with Australian maternal health company Lactamo for the US market, bringing its clinically validated breastfeeding aid to American mothers. Aligned with the latest breastfeeding research, Lactamo is a medical device that proactively and reactively supports the common breastfeeding challenges.
Together, these acquisitions and partnership position Willow to play a much larger role in maternal health. Building beyond a single product or moment, the company is creating a connected platform spanning feeding, recovery, education, community, and maternal mental health, with Willow World as the place moms come to learn, connect, and find their people.
This strategy comes as a new generation enters motherhood with different expectations for the companies they trust – from better technology and more accessible information to personalized support and real community. Willow’s next phase will focus on meeting those expectations while continuing to expand the products, services and support available across its platform.
Ten years after transforming the way women pump, Willow is building on that legacy to create the maternal health company for the next generation of mothers. To learn more, visit www.onewillow.com.
