Former Microsoft and Amazon Web Services leader brings more than 15 years of experience building AI and data platforms for national security and enterprise clients
WASHINGTON, Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Strider Technologies, Inc. (“Strider”), the leading provider of strategic intelligence, today announced that Vassili Patrikis, former Chief AI & Data Officer for Microsoft’s Federal National Security Group, has joined the company as Chief Technology & AI Officer.
In this role, Patrikis will lead Strider’s engineering, technology, and AI strategy, overseeing the continued development and scaling of its strategic intelligence platform. He will work across the company’s technology team to advance AI capabilities, accelerate product innovation, and help clients across industry, government, and academia better anticipate and respond to nation-state risk.
“Vassili has spent his career building and scaling AI and data capabilities at some of the world’s leading enterprise technology companies,” said Greg Levesque, CEO and Co-founder of Strider. “As the geopolitical landscape grows more complex, organizations need intelligence that is continuous, actionable, and integrated into how they operate. AI is fundamentally transforming how that intelligence is produced and delivered, and Vassili brings the experience and leadership to help us accelerate that transformation. We’re thrilled to welcome him to Strider.”
“Strider has built a powerful foundation for turning complex global data into intelligence that companies and governments can act on,” said Patrikis. “What excites me most is the opportunity to work with a team that brings together deep expertise in technology, intelligence, and national security, with a clear sense of purpose behind its work. I look forward to building on that foundation, advancing our AI capabilities, and helping clients understand nation-state risk and make critical decisions with greater speed and confidence.”
Patrikis brings deep expertise in AI, data, and national security to Strider. He joins from Microsoft, where he led AI and data strategy for the company’s National Security Group as the Chief AI & Data Officer. Prior to Microsoft, he was at Amazon, where he helped establish the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Lab program and co-led it from 2018 to 2022. He later served as the Head of Product for search science and AI/ML at Amazon.com before returning to AWS to advance AI capabilities supporting national security missions.
Patrikis has held numerous technical leadership positions throughout his career, with experience spanning Accenture, Asurion, and Capital One. He brings a strong foundation in technology, data, and innovation, with expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the development and engineering of large language models.
Patrikis succeeds Yvonne Bigbee, who will retire as Strider’s Chief Technology Officer at the end of 2026. As one of Strider’s five founding team members in 2019, Bigbee has built its technology organization, led development of its early platform, and pioneered the creation of Strider Operating System, the company’s AI-native, agentic intelligence operating system. She will support Patrikis’ transition through December 31 and remain an Executive Advisor in 2027. Before joining Strider, Bigbee served as CTO of Comscore.
“Yvonne has been a pillar of Strider since day one,” said Levesque. “She has played a part in everything we’ve built, from the earliest versions of our platform to the agentic-AI capabilities our clients depend on today. She has helped create a company culture that reflects the very best of who we are. We’re deeply grateful for all she has given Strider and glad she’ll continue advising us moving forward.”
