New York, NY, Sept. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Five Iron Golf today announced Five Iron Studio, a new smaller-footprint franchise model designed to extend the Five Iron experience into markets and real estate opportunities that may not support a traditional Five Iron venue.
Five Iron Studio extends the company’s existing franchise model into a more flexible format. After nearly a decade of building and scaling Five Iron Golf, the company is applying its brand recognition, operating infrastructure, premium golf technology, hospitality expertise and design DNA to a 3,000- to 5,000-square-foot format built for 24/7 access.
Five Iron Studio locations will feature three to five semi-private simulator rooms powered by Trackman, maintaining the same performance standard golfers expect from Five Iron Golf in a more streamlined setting. With sliding doors that allow guests to shift between a private and more social experience, 24/7 access, contactless entry and grab-and-go food service, the format is designed for convenience without losing the golf experience at the core of the Five Iron brand.
What began as a single Five Iron location in New York City in 2017 has grown into a global golf and entertainment staple with more than 50 locations spanning 20+ states and seven countries.
Five Iron Studio reflects the next stage of that expansion, creating an additional path for franchise growth alongside the company’s traditional venues. The smaller format also gives Five Iron greater flexibility to enter markets that may not have the population density to support a traditional Five Iron venue.
“When we started Five Iron almost a decade ago, we just wanted to make golf more social, more accessible, and a lot more fun,” said Jared Solomon, Co-Founder and CEO of Five Iron Golf. “Five Iron Studio takes everything we’ve learned about building a golf and social experience that people genuinely enjoy coming back to, and allows us to bring that same experience to more people.”
Five Iron Studio creates a lower barrier to entry for franchisees and opens additional real estate opportunities that may not accommodate a traditional Five Iron venue. The smaller footprint and streamlined operating model are designed to create greater flexibility while maintaining the premium golf technology, social experience and design standards at the core of Five Iron Golf.
“I’ve sat across the table from prospective franchisees who love the Five Iron concept, but couldn’t make a full-size venue work for their market or space,” said Nora Dunnan, Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer of Five Iron Golf. “That’s exactly the gap Studio is designed to close. It brings the technology, programming and Five Iron experience into a purpose-built, smaller-footprint model.”
Five Iron Studio will grow alongside Five Iron Golf’s traditional venues, creating an additional path for franchise growth in markets and real estate opportunities the brand couldn’t previously reach. The first Five Iron Studio locations are expected to open in 2027.
