Santa Barbara Newsletter Features Halloween Graphic Novel Picks and Book Events
The Santa Barbara Independent's 'All Booked' newsletter presents a selection of spooky graphic novel recommendations suitable for Halloween, titled 'The Witching Hour', and lists upcoming book-related events in the Santa Barbara area.
Santa Barbara Santa Maria San Luis Obispo, CA, October 28, 2026 —
The Santa Barbara Independent’s “All Booked” newsletter features a Halloween-themed selection of spooky graphic novel recommendations under the title “The Witching Hour,” alongside listings for upcoming book-related events in the Santa Barbara area.
The summary of the newsletter identifies its two main elements: reading recommendations and local event listings. It does not name the graphic novels or authors included, or provide details about the events, such as dates, venues, participants or organizers.
The recommendations are described as suitable for Halloween, but no further information is provided about their plots, intended age groups or why they were selected. The newsletter’s title, “The Witching Hour,” is given in the summary; no additional explanation of the title or the selection is provided.
The event listings are described only as upcoming and related to books in the Santa Barbara area. The available information does not specify whether they involve readings, discussions, signings or other activities, and it does not state when the newsletter was published. Readers seeking specific titles or event details would need information beyond the summary provided.
Together, the recommendations and listings place seasonal reading suggestions alongside local book-related activities. The information available establishes the newsletter’s subject matter and general geographic focus, but does not provide enough detail to identify individual recommendations or events.
